The ex-president's insatiable urge for payback has rapidly morphed into a methodical system. During the twelve months, the president's fury and whims have assumed the shape of official policies in ways reminiscent to historical dictatorial systems. Justice department officials who resist his demands are promptly removed and succeeded by supporters. Political figures who confront him encounter legal action, judicial process and sanctions. Critics have been categorized under executive directives as “unpatriotic”, “opposed to religious values” and “anti-capitalist”, and menaced with prosecution as “terrorists”.
The Justice System Restructured
Each case involving prosecution of critics and leniency for loyalists displays its own distinct features. Yet, regardless of their particular form, they exemplify expressions of what has developed as a calculated method. These events are far from coincidental. His removal of DoJ attorneys and Federal Bureau of Investigation personnel, coupled with his placement of supporters in key positions, began rapidly, promptly developed a regularity, and has now been shaped into a structure. The justice department and the Federal Bureau have been restructured into partisan agencies under the president's clear orders to carry out his wishes. Unfairness has been turned into normal. It represents the apparatus of revenge.
Management is focused with punishing the leader's alleged adversaries than they are with defending our public welfare.
Inside the System
The origin of this system has been uncovered in the legal complaint of multiple former senior Federal Bureau executives filed in September in the judicial system in the capital against FBI director Kash Patel and top lawyer Pam Bondi for wrongful dismissal in “a campaign of retribution against the officials for what administration figures judged to be a inability to demonstrate sufficient devotion”. The document states that Brian Driscoll, the previous temporary head, recounts a conversation in which he “openly confessed the illegality of his behavior”.
The official had tried to defend law enforcement officers from being terminated, the filing alleges. The director advised him that “White House figures” – understood by him to be the White House and justice department – had ordered him to dismiss everyone who they identified as having been involved in a criminal investigation against Trump. The complaint adds: “Patel clarified that he had to dismiss the people his leaders told him to dismiss, because his chance to hold his own job depended on the ouster of the agents who were involved in cases involving the chief executive. The director noted that there was no option he or the official could do to prevent these or any other terminations, because ‘the agency tried to place the President in prison and he remembers.’” After he advised Patel he was breaking the FBI's own internal rules, the director supposedly said “he recognized that and he knew the essence of the summary firings were probably unlawful”.
Widespread Impact
Following the director's alleged acknowledgment to him, the Department of Justice and the FBI have been weakened and repurposed for the administration's revenge apparatus. Several of the FBI's senior executives were fired or forced out in the first days of the government. About 4,500 professional attorneys at the department have accepted a “early exit scheme”. A minimum of seven government attorneys, including those in the Manhattan division, stepped down in objection over what they regarded as ideological pressure in dropping the legal action against the New York City mayor, the mayor, in return for his assistance with the administration's Immigration and Customs Enforcement arrests of foreign nationals. The ethics division of DoJ, which oversees corruption cases, has been reduced to a handful of lawyers. The equality section has been devastated: the majority of its staff has resigned. A third of senior leaders at the justice department have left. The division enforcing conservation statutes has seen departures of 50% its supervisors.
Rewards and Penalties
Concerning the mayor's situation, the interim prosecutor for the federal division, the official, resigned in objection against what she described as the “exchange”. The border official, the president's “immigration leader,” was present as the implementer with him on a media outlet to announce: “Should he fail to deliver, I'll be back in New York City.”. And, another figure, formerly the acting deputy attorney general and a ex-lawyer, who negotiated the deal, was given an appellate federal judgeship, a possible pathway to the supreme court.
The president's immunity for offenses committed while in office, granted by the remarkable decision of the conservative on the judicial body, thus preventing his criminal case over the political violence and preserving his electoral prospects for the 2024 election, is the cornerstone on which he stands to protect his stalwarts. Given this protection, he has been liberated to enable wrongdoing. The impact of the supreme court decision saturates his government and the GOP completely. Trump v United States has escalated. Similar to a past leader's legal adviser he remarked about the Watergate
